Encoded and Wild Australia International Premiere

Maui Film Festival featuring Encoded

ENCODED and WILD AUSTRALIA: THE JOURNEY are kicking off their global festival circuit this year with our international premiere at the MAUI FILM FESTIVAL in Wailea, Hawaii in early June.

Following our successful Australian premiere at the Australian Surf Movie Premiere in January, we are excited to announce the international premiere at one of our favourite like-minded film festivals, the Maui Film Festival. Considered “Hawaii’s answer to Sundance”, the Maui Film Festival is a star studded event held across 4 fantastic venues over the course of 4 nights, from Thursday June 4 to Sunday June 8. It screens a mixture of big time blockbusters and small time independent films across a range of genres, and is a great launch platform for us to showcase our work from the past (busy) year! We launched our previous hit feature film IMMERSION at the Maui Film Festival in 2012, and received a fantastic response from the audience and the judges. We ended up bagging the BEACON AWARD and the EXTREME CINEMA AUDIENCE AWARD, which was a great start to what would become an extremely successful festival circuit.

We hope this year’s film festival will launch ENCODED and WILD AUSTRALIA onto the same path of success, and we hope some of you, if you are lucky enough to be in that area of the world, can make it to the screening!

ENCODED and WILD AUSTRALIA will be screened as a duo at the Castle Theatre at Maui Arts & Cultural Centre at 7.30pm Sunday June 8.  Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 on the door. We hope to see you there supporting Aussie independent films by enjoying this great event!
